Low Porosity Hair
YOUR POROSITY IS LOW
Your hair has a hard time absorbing products, some products will even leave residues. Your hair is dry and not moisturized.
The science behind that is the fact that the cuticles ( cells forming the outer layer of your hair ) are often 'close' and as a result products won't easily penetrate your hair and will just sit at the surface.
Here is a simple DIY masque you can use to keep your hair moisturized:
- 2 bananas
- 300 ml water
- 1tbs baking soda
- 50g honey
- 10ml glycerin
- 50ml aloe vera
- Let it sit for 20 min under a steamer and rinse out
Include in your regimen, ingredients that will increase the pH of your solution (baking soda). Use heat or even a plastic film to 'open' your cuticles.
Contrary to popular belief, Scientifc studies reported that low porosity hair have no issues and can easily 'accept' most type of oils as long as you apply them on wet hair.
Make sure you don't do protein treatments more than once/month.
